public peace, health, and safety.

A Special Ordinance increasing the taxing limit
to provide ,additional budget funds for the Department
of Parks and Recreation :and Public Buildings Bituminous
Surfacing Program. This is!an emergency - ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health, and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the limitation on real and pergonal property
taxes be increased for the year 1963 by an amount of $1-,2009,000.
Section 2. That the Budget Item 1$ -L6 of the 1963 Budget for
the City of Saint Paul is hereby increased in the amount of $1,200,000
for the specific purpose of conducting a Bituminous Surfacing Program on
the following sites:
Park and Playground.Sites:
Aldine, .Arlington, Baker, Battle Creek; Belvidere,
Cherokee - Site #1, Cherokee - Site #2, College
Como - Site #1, Como - Site #2, Como, -Site #3,
Conway Hgts., Dale, Desnoyer, Duluth, Dunning,

Groveland, Hemline, Harriet Isle - Site #l,
Harriet Isle - Site #2, Hayden Hgts.; Hazel Park,
