WHEREAS, The Council has declared that it would be int public interest to assist neighborhoods in
marketing and promoting their respective events for the good of the communities, and;
WHEREAS, The City is assisting in the promotion of the following projects: Arts Scraps/Art Fair
(approx. $500.00), Minnesota Korean Waz Unveiling (approx. $250.00), University United Mazketing
Initiative (approx. $5,000.00), Leadership Youth in Government through the YMCA (approx.
$2,500.00), Wabasha Bridge Grand Opening events (approx $8,000.00), Ames Lake Ground Breaking
(approx. $4,000.00), Western Park Sculpture Garden Grand Opening (approx. $1,000.00), Ciry
Reforestation Communication (approx. $2,500.00), BOMA Tenant & Employee Appreciation Party
(approx. $1,750.00) and;
WHEREAS, the cost of these promotions need to be paid and;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED, that the proper city officials are authorized to pay amounts totaling
$25,550.00 to these events.
