THE COUNCIL OF THE, CITY OF SAINT" PAUL, DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 760.7, approved February l3, 1935,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out the
specifications. for Public. Utilities. Engineer, and by substituting in lieu,
thereof the following specifications:

Duties and responsibilities:
Under administrative direction, to compile data, analyze and
investigate reports, and make appraisals of public utility
companies' properties; to make studies and investigations
regarding rates and earnings of City and private utility
companies; to assist with the supervision of the Lighting
Bureau; and to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To compile electric, steam, gas, water and sewer data for rate-
, making purposes.
To supervise and to conduct appraisals of public utility properties
and to report findings to the Commissioner of Public Utilities.
To investigate, analyze and summarize monthly reports from utility
companies.
To make such other studies and investigations as will keep the
Commissioner properly informed with respect to public utility
earnings, rate of return on properties, etc.
Minimum qualifications:
College graduation in mechanical or electrical engineering and ten
years' professional experience, five years of which must have
been in positions involving duties essentially the same as those
specified for this position. Must be a registered professional
engineer in the State of Minnesota, or eligible for such
registration. (No substitution for education.
