An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 12542, approved August 27, 1963, entitled: "An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a permit to the State of Minnesota to construct and maintain an Electric Distribution Conduit with Electric Service Facilities for service of its Capitol Building and its Adjacent Buildings, in, under and across Cedar Street parallel thereto and 50 feet southerly from the center line of C olumbus Avenue extended, within the corporate limits of the City of Saint Paul. This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 12542, approved August 27, 1963, hereby is amended in the following particulars, to -wit: that immediately following the following quoted language of the same contained in Section 1 of said Ordinance: "a cylindrical concrete conduit approximating 12" in diameter and incorporating a cylindrical metal housing and accessory electric service wiring facilities approximating 311 in diameter" there hereby is inserted in said Sect \on 1 of said Ordinance, the following quoted language: \ "or a concrete envelope approximately 12" x 12" and incorporating a cylindrical 4" transite conduit to facilitate electric service wiring and incorporating such electric service wiring therein ". Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety. 1 Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect-and be in force upon its passage, approval, and publication.
