AN ORDINANCE AMMING CHAPTER 60 OF THE
SAINT PAUL LEGISLATIVE CODE, ESTABLISHING
AN ADDITIONAL ASULTI- FAMILY RESIDENCE DIS-
DRICT AND PERMITTED USES THEREIN.

Section 1. ' That Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code, known as the Zoning Code, shall be and the same is.- hereby amended
by deleting Section 60.01 thereof and substituting in lieu "of said
Section 60.01 the following:
1160.01 USE DISTRICTS. For the purposes of regulating the
location of trades and industries and the location of buildings
for specified uses, the City of Saint Paul is hereby divided
into Cl ;asses of- Districts: 'At Residence District, IBi Residence
District,` tCt Residence District, Commercial District, Light
Industry District, and Heavy Industry District, all as shown on
the Zoning Map which accompanies the Zoning Code, and is hereby
declared to be a part hereof, The Use Districts designated on
said map are hereby established.
11In addition, to the foregoing Use Districts, there shall
be an additional class of Use District known as IC-11 Residence
District.
"No building or premises shall be erected or used for any
purpose -other than a purpose permitted in the Use District in
which such building or premises is locited.li
Section 2. That - Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Legislative
Code "Mall be and the same,is hereby further amended by adding'after
Section 60.03 the following: r..
"60.031 , 10-11' RESIDENCE DISTRICTS. � In a IC-11 Residence
"k- -District only the following premises and building uses with their
usual accessory ,buildings and uses shall be- permitted:

a. All premises and building uses specified as permitted
in 'At -and tB1 residence districts subject to a one -
familyrhouse and a- two - family house being erected on
a lot whose widths at both the front legal set -back
line and the front property (street line) and whose
area is-not less than the amounts specified in sub-
section tct hereof.

d. The total amount of lot area covered by the building
or structure shall be not more than thirty -five per
cent (35 %) of the total lot area.
.a. The lot areas enumerated in sub- section 'c' hereof
shall be exclusive of any area occupied for other
purposes that housing and uses accessory thereto.
f. Nothing contained in this Section shall be construed
to permit any retail business use or activity in any
building or on any premises.

a lot whose width at the front legal set -back line
is at least fifty (50) feet, whose width at the front
property line (street line) is at least forty (40)
feet and whose area is at least six thousand (6,000)
square feet. A. single - family dwelling hereafter con-
structed in this district shall be erected on a lot
whose width at both the front legal set -back line
and front property line (street line) shall be at
least forty (40) feet and whose area shall be at
least four thousand (4,000) square feet; however,
