An ordinance amending Chapter 321 of the St. Paul
Legislative Code, being Ordinance No. 12738, approved
June 16, 1964, and pertaining to Rubbish Collection and
Disposal. This is an emergency ordinance rendered
necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Chapter 321 of the St. Paul
Legislative Code, as enacted by Ordinance No. 12738, approved
June 161 1964, be and the same hereby is amended by deleting
therefrom Section 321.08 and substituting in lieu thereof the
following:
321.08. DEFINITION OF VEHICLE. Forlthe purpose of
this ordinance, the vehicle which actually carries the
rubbish or waste material is defined as follows: The
word • vehicle" shall be any trailer or semi- trailer
unit of 2 cubic yard capacity or greater which is
used for the hauling of rubbish or waste materials,
in addition to all trucks, compactors or other vehicles
which are regularly used for the hauling of rubbish or
waste materials and for which a state vehicle license
is required. This shall not include containers which
are�earried on the bed of a vehicle rather than 'towed
as a separate unit. '
See. 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be
an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage, approval and publication.
