As I had previously mentioned to you, I am requesting that $75,000 be allocated to the £ollowing projects: I am recommending allocating $65,000 to North End Area Revitalization, Inc. (NEAR). Based upon past history, I strongly believe that NEAR can implement this program. Please contact Kris Danielson at 488-1039 to execute the necessary contracts. 2. T am recoaunending allocating $5,000 to Black Bear Crossing project. As you may know, David Glass, the owner of Black Bear Crossing, has executed an agreement with PED. Furthermore, I am recommending that Mr. Glass has already made his match by extensively developing the deck and parking lot of Black Bear Crossing. Mr. Glass has worked extensively with Pam Wheelock and Sean Kershaw. To execute any contracts, please contact Sean Kershaw at 266-6594 for more details. 3. I am recommending allocating $5,000 to District 6. For your information, District 6 has sponsored the North End Youth Development Center. Under District 6 aegis, the North Teens and neighhorhood members developed a community garden on Wayzata Street. This $5,900 allocation will be used for a water shut-off ineter which will provide water to the more than $10,000 investment of landscape. I am also recommending that District 6 has already made its match by developing this community garden on a City public right-of-way. To execute the contracts, please call Kathy Cole, District 6 Community Council at 488-4485. I appreciate all your time and effort.shown to this request.
