An Ordinance amending Chapter 153 of
the Saint Paul Legislative Code pertaining
to Taxicabs.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
That Section 153.09 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be
and the same is hereby amended by inserting in lieu and in place
thereof the following:
"153.09. No person shall drive or operate a taxi-
cab or motor vehicle used for carrying passengers for
hire who has not first been duly licensed as a chauffeur
under the law of the State of Minnesota. Upon applica-
tion to the City Clerk and producing the proper creden-
tials showing the applicant is a licensed chauffeur, a
City license to drive a motor vehicle for hire may be
issued on the payment of Three Dollars ($3.00).
Every person who shall receive a City license to
drive a motor vehicle carrying passengers for hire shall
wear conspicuously a license badge issued by the License
Division, said badge shall be provided with a pin or
other fastening-device-by which the same shall be worn in-
a conspicuous place on the outside of ,the clothing so that
it may not be hidden either by accident or design."
Section 2.
That Section 153.10 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be and'
the same is hereby amended by inserting in lieu and in place there-
of the following:
"153.10. It shall be the duty of the City
Council to revoke the license of any person who shall
have been convicted two (2) times for violation of any
of the provisions of this Chapter."
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage, approval and publication. _
