An ordinance amending the S.aint Paul Legislative Code
Pertaining to Building Construction,
The Council of the City of Saint Paul Does Ordain:
Section 1
That Section 4.04 Special Occupancy Requirements is hereby
amended by adding the following subsection:
15., Seating Capacity To Be Posted
Each assembly room, auditorium or room used for similar
purposes in connection with religious, recreational, educa -,
tional, political, social or amusement activities or for the
consumption of food or drink, where all seating is not fixed
and where provisions are made for the seating of ten or more
persons, shall be conspicuously posted with a durable sign
approved by the Bureau.showing. the maximum seatirig capacity
allowed therein, and it shall be, unlawful -to remove_ om _de__.
face such sign or to permit more than this legal number of
persons within the space. The owner and /or occupant of such
building or space shall be responsible for the posting and
maintenance of such sign and for the limiting of the occu-
pancy of such space to the posted maximum.
. Section 2
That Section 13.,01 Determining and Posting of Floor Loading
is hereby amended by adding the following subsection.

consumption of food or drink, where all seating is.not fixed
and where provisions are made for the seating of ten or more

face such sign or to permit more than this legal number of
persons within the space. The owner and /or occupant of such

Section 3
This ordinance shall take `t and be in force thirty
days from and after its passage A punlication.
