An ordinance amending Section 148.12 of the Saint
Paul Legislative Code enacted January 28, 1938,`as amended,
This is an emergency ordinance tendered necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL -DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Commissioner of Public Safety, at the
expiration of thirty days after mailing or publishing a notice provided
for in Section 148.03, may use such vehicles as are necessary for
special police purposes of the City of Saint Paul. When such vehicles {
are of no further use for these purposes, the Commissioner of Public
Safety shall notify the Purchasing Agent of this City who shall proceed
to sell the same13y•sealed bid or by public auction after first giving
notice of such sale in a legal newspaper within the City of Saint Paul.
Said notice to be published not less than tem'days prior to the date
of such sale as aforesaid in said notice of sale to include therein
the time and place of said sale, stating further whether such sale
shall be by sealed bid or public auction or both.
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,.
health, and safety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, approval, and publication.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be deemed and be a part of the
Saint Paul Legislative Code, and shall be incorporated therein and given
an appropriate chapter and /or section number at the time of the next
revision of said Legislative Code.
