ORDINANCE NO.
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 13174,
entitled: "An ordinance authorizing the
issuance of a permit to the Economics
Laboratory Inc..to construct, operate,
maintain and repair two well pit rooms 8
feet in length and to a maximum width of
7 feet, below the public sidewalk on the
north side of E. Fifth Street 93 feet E.
and 194 feet east of Wabasha Street. This'
is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety. ", approved February 16, 1966. This
is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 13174
be and the same hereby is amended by adding the following
sentence at the end of subsection (1) thereof:
"He shall execute and deliver to the City of
Saint Paul a surety company bond for each separate
piece of property, in the sum of Five - Thousand _
Dollars ($5,000.00), conditioned to indemnify and
save the City of Saint Paul harmless from all damages,
judgments, losses, claims, suits, or liabilities of
every kind arising or growing out of the construction,
maintenance, operation, or removal of the wells, the
said bond to remain in force and effect as long as the
same or any part thereof are maintained."
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force upon its passage, approval and publication.
