Dear Sir:
SAINT PAUL
SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 55102 366
December 12, 1966
This is written in response toithe Petition of Edward E. Parranto
to rezone from "A" Residence to Commercial property on the south
side of St. Paul Avenue between Davern Street and-West Seventh
Street described as-all that portion of Lot 7, Block 3, C. W.
Youngman's Second Addition lying south of St. Paul Avenue together
with. adjacent alley and vacated Snelling Avenue.
This matter was considered at the November 17, 1966 Board of
Zoning meeting. This is an irregularly shaped tract of land with
a frontage of 161.1 feet along!St. Paul Avenue and an area of
approximately 6,200 square feet. The area zoning is as follows:
Southerly, the frontage along west Seventh Street is zoned Commer-
cial for a depth of 100 feet; to the West is zoned "C" Residence;
and to the North is zoned Commercial and "A" Residence. The area
uses are as follows: North, across St. Paul Avenue is park pro-
perty and two apartment buildings; to the East is a filling
station; South is commercial property; and to the West is a
large apartment development id a shopping center.
It was the findings of the Board that it would be reasonable to
rezone the property to Commercial since this would fill out the
Commercial area between the filling station to the East-and the
large apartment•development to the West. Therefore, the Board
recommends the Petition be granted and the land rezoned to
Commercial.
