Realty Company to rezone from "B" Residence to Light Industry property on the south side of Hubbard Avenue between North Avon and North Grotto Streets. This property is further described as Lots 4 thru 20, Joseph R. Weide's Rearrangement of Block 3 and the north 1/2 of Block 2, Winter's Addition. This matter was considered at the October 17 and November 7, 1968 Board of Zoning tt�eetings. The staff reported that the Comprehensive Plan recommends Light Industry for the site which is vacant with the west portion having been filled to surrounding grade and the east portion approximately ten feet lower than adjacent property. One and two-family residences exist to the>��south between the property and Pierce Butler Route. The petitioner has indicated that he plans to ask for a vacation of Hubbard Avenue to the north. The petitioner stated that there are no present plans for the site but in the future they propose .putting a warehouse along side of the railroad tracks with the subject property being used for parking. It was the findings of the�Board that: this is an industrial area; the homes to the� south were there before the construction. of Pierce Butler Route, and it interfered with the homes; and these are older homes and this proposed rez�oning might tend to i.ncrease the v_alue of the property and ultimately, the entire area would become industrial. � .
