THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking
out of the beginning of the Class Speci.fications, under the heading "The
Statement�of Minimum Qualifications", the following paragraph:

- . Except where a different age limit is prescribed by law or i.n the
individual apecifica�ions of this ordinance, persons to be eligible as
• applicants for any examination or registration for employment in the
elas.sified service.of the City must be at least 16 years of age and under

� and, by substituting in lieu thereof the following- paragraph: �
` "AGE

the individual specifications of this ord9nance, persons to be eligible
as applicants for any examination or registration for employment in
the Classified Service of the City must be at least 16 years of age and
under 60 years of age, but this latter age shall not apply to any
employee of the City, or �ligible for reinstatement thereto, who is an
applicant for any examination, whether promotion or origi.nal entrance. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
days after its passage, approval, and publication.
