THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Section 245.04 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code hereby is amended by deleting the existing consumption rate schedule there- in contained and inserting in lieu thereof the following: In the City of Saint Paul For first 50,000 cu. ft. of water per month at 25C per 100 cu, ft. Next 450,000 cu. ft. of water per month at 20C per 100 cu. ft. All over 500,000 cu. ft. of water per month at 15C per 100 cu, ft. Outside the City of Saint Paul For first 50,000 cu, ft. of water per month at 34G per 100 cu, ft. Next 450,000 cu. ft. of water per month at 25G per 100 cu, ft. All over 500,000 cu. ft. of water per mog�h at 17C per 100 cu, ft. Section 3. That Section 246.01 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be and the same hereby is amended by deleting the same in its entirety and substituting in lieu and in place thereof the following: 246.01 Rates. Flat rates, or water delivered for domestic purposes without being measured by a meter, shall be as follows, based upon the size of the service connection: 3/4-inch and smaller service connection, Demand $1.80 Water Charge $7.50 = Total $9.30 per quarter. 1-inch service connection, Demand $3.30 Water Charge $9.00 = Total $12.30 per quarter. Section �. That Chapter 247 of the Saint Paul Legisl8tive Code is repealed in its entirety, and the following is substituted in Lieu and in place thereof: 247.01 Rates for Public Street Sprinkling and Sewer Flushing. Water furnished any City department for street sprinkling, watering trees in the boulevards, ., , "�?'�"� - � , . � , ' . 245��1 I '� a�� or sewer flushing shall be exempt from any fixed charge when the same is obtained through fire hydrants or other connections to the mains, in a manner that can be measured by volumetric displacement in tanks or other vessels, and the same shall then be charged for at the rate of fifteen (15) cents per 100 cubic feet plus any expense incurred by the Board of Water Commissioners in determining the amount of water so used. 247.02 Wabe�or Lakes. Water supplied from the mains used for maifitaining lake levels in public parks with- in the City of Saint Paul shall be charged for at the rate of fifteen (15) cents per 100 cubic feet when authorized by the Board. 247.03 Minimum Charges. The minimum charges for water used for any miscellaneous purpose and sold at a miscellaneous rate shall be $3.00. 247.04 Public Rinks. The use of hydrants by City Departments for the flooding of public rinks shall be paid for at the rate of $10.00 for the first flooding and $5.00 for each additional flooding. Section 5. That Section 248.13 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be and the same hereby is amended by deleting the same in its entirety and substituting in lieu and in place thereof the following: 248.13 Cost of Large Services. Service connections two (2) inch and larger will be installed by the De- partment on the cost pins basis only after the appli- cation has been approved by the Water Department. The charges therefore shall include the total cost of labor, equipment, and materials plus overhead. Section 6. That Section 248.16 of the Saint Paul Legislative �Codebe and the same hereby is amended by deleting the same there �from and inserting the following in lieu thereof: 248.16 When a single distribution main is laid on one side of the street the schedule charges for that street service shall be determined as though the main were in the center of the street. That Section 248.17� of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be and the same hereby is amended b•. deleting the same in its en- tirety and substituting in lieu and in piace thereof the following: 248.17 Charges for Tumble Rock. Charges for tumble rock are made in addition to the regular schedule at the rate of $50.00 per connection. Section 8. That Section 248.19 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby further amended by deleting the same and inserting the following in lieu thereof; 248.19 Cost of Pavement Repair. Where service con- nections are installed or repaired in streets which require the opening of pavement, the following charges will be added to the schedule or estimated cost. of all services and shall be paid for at the time of application: Conczete Base with Surfaced Top. For streets 60 feet and less in width $100.00; for streets 66 to 90 feet in width $150.00; and for streets 100 feet or more in width $200.00. Concrete Surface. For streets 60 feet or less in width $75.00; for streets 66 to 90 feet in width $100.00; and for streets 100 feet or more in width $125.00. High-Type Asphalt Surface. For streets 60 feet or less in width $60.Q0; for stre�ts 66 to 90 fEet in width $90.00; and for streets 100 feet or more in width $120.00. Oil or Tarvia Surface. For streets 60 feet or less in width $40.00; for streets 66 to 90 feet in width $50.00; and for streets 100 feet or more in width $60.00. Note: Where two (2) mains are in the street, the charges shall be one-half (1/2) the cost, but in no case � less than the charge for a 60-foot street. Section 9. That Section 248.20 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, as amended, is hereby deleting the same and inserting the following in lieu thereof: 248.20 Frost Charges.
