An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6446, entitled:
"An adrninistrative ordinance fixing the com-
pensation rates of certain city positions and employments, "
approved January 23, 1925, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SATI�TT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6446, approved January 23, 1925,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out
Section I D 3, and by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"3 Until such time as no Kitchen Helpers are paid a rate in excess
of the rate established in Section II under the heading "5pecial
Employments" of this ordinance, any Kitchen Helper promoted
to Cook I or Baker I shall receive an increase of 15� per hour,
and further increases shall be given as indicated below:
Kitchen Helpers, Cooks I and Bakers I shall receive at least the
minimum rate established in Section II under the heading �'Special
Employments"of this ordinance, and when this established rate is
increased the present employees shall receive the new minimum or
an increase of 50% of the established rate increase, whichever is
greater, until all such employees are receiving said established rate.
Any Cook I or Baker I promoted to Cook II or Baker II shall be paid
at the step which is at least 3% higher than what her pres�nt hourly
rate would be had she not been receiving the extra compensation in
lieu of fringe benefits which was paid employees in the Graded
Division who were paid on an hourly basis prior to December 28, 1968. t'
Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by striki.ng out of Section II, under the heading
"Special Employments", the following lines:
"Baker I 1. 80 an hour"
"Cook I 1. 80 an hour"
"Kitchen Helper 1. 70 an hour" ;
and by substi�.tting in lieu thereof the following lines:
"Baker I 2. 00 an hour"
1'Cook I 2. 00 an hour"
"Kitchen Helper 1. 85 an hour" .
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
a.nd after December 27, 1969.
