RE: Saint Paul Civic Center Expansion

The plenum walis at the Parking Ramp have been under review for several months. After bidding,
the City inspectors indicated the walls specified had to be changed. HGA discussed with the City
and issued Request for Proposal #4.41 in June. The cost submitted by MA Mortenson for this
original RFP was $98,097.
. HGA, the Contractors and CPMf searched for various materiafs which were less expensive.
Several were reviewed and priced, but ultimately did not satisfy the requirements of the City.
A price has been submitted by Metropolitan Mechanical to provide sheet metaf inside the plenum
walfs at a cost of $93,187. Based o� preliminary review, we recommend approval. The $98K
mentioned above has already been reserved on the Financial Status Report, so there wil( 6e a net
decrease on the raport of $4,910.
This is a Parking Ramp decision, but with the value we recommend the ECC formally provide a
decisio�. Thank you.
