An ord' ance amending Ordinance No. 6446, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance fixing the com-
pensation rates of certain city positions and employments, "
approved January 23, 1925, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOE5 ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6446, approved January 23,
1925, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
amending subsection K of Section III by addi.ng after the words "Ordinance
No. 3250" where they appear in the third paragraph, the following words:
"(except as indicated below), "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty

days after its passage, approval, and publication.

1. Section III K of Ordinance No. 6446, as it now stands: �

(The last 2 paragraphs)--
1rThe night differentaal shall be 5% of the base rate, and shall be paid
only for those night shifts actually worked; provided, however, that the
provisions of this subsection shall not apply to employees to whom the
provisions of Section III D are applicable, or to employees holding titles
in the Police and Fire Groups in Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3250, or to
emergency or temporary employees in the Auditorium, or to employees
holding titles listed in Section II of this ordina.nce under the heading
"Special Employments", except those employees holding the titles of
Baker I, Cook I, or Food 5ervice Aide in the Board of Education.
To any employee in the Police occupational group who works on a regu-
larly assigned non-rotating shift beginning earlier tha.n 6:00 a. m, or
ending later than 6:00 p. m. , and provided that over four hours of the
shift are between 6:00 p. m. and 6:00 a. m. , there shall be paid a night
differential of $18. 40 bi-weekly for those night shifts actually worked. "

has been added right after the words "Ordinance No. 3250", in No. 2 above.
