ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safe�y.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF �SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
- Section 1. That Ordina.nce No. 644.6� approved Janua.ry 23, 1925,
as amen.ded, be and the same Ys laereby ,�urther amended by inserting
in Section 6, in Grade 47 under the:l�e�ding "Professiona.l Group",
the title
Safety Coordinator.
Section 2. The Safety Goordina.tor sha.11 be appointed by the
Civil Service Commissioner with the approval of the City Council.
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordina.nce rendered necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
Section 4. This ordina.nce shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, approval and publication.

Rea �rdinances pertaining to Grants-In-Aid Coordinator
(C.F. 251681) and Safety Coordinatar (C.F. 251679)
These ordinances were drafted sa aa�endmeats to Ordinance
No. 325�, the original intent being that th�se jobs should be
ir� th� Classified Service.
The Conncil and Mayor have now decided to place these jobs in
the Unclassified Service and have requested the ordin�nees be a�nended
aceordingly. This esnnot b� aecomplished by siaending the original
o=dinances since these ordinances amend�d Ordinance No. 323�, but
mnst be done by a new ordinance amending O=dina�ce No. 6446.
I have therefore drafted the attached new ordinaaces. This
will necessitate a dela� of 10 days in the effective date froia
�anuary 16, 1971, to J�nuary 26, 1971.
