TIIE COUNCIL OF THE CI�Y OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section I. That the Co�n¢nissioner of Public W�rks, having reported
to the Council that th� easement described as: A permanent easement for
sewer pur�oses 30 feet in width on� under� across, ar� through that
certain strip of la.nd 120 feet wide bein� 60 feet on either side of the
centerline of the Chica.go, Milwa.ukee9 St. Paul and Pa.cific Railsoa.d
Compar�y right-of-wa.y as located across Lot �+� Subdivision �f Ayd's Farm�
100 acs.� NW,�-� of 5.11� T.28� R.23, the westerly 1.ine of said 30 feet
wide easement beir�g the easterly line of Block 7, Ridgewood Pa.xk Addition
to the City of St. Pau7. Ramsey Co. Minn.� produced southerly aeross said
120 feet wide strip of land.� is required by the Depa.rtment of Public Works
for the construction of the Milton-St. Clair Storm Sewer� Public Works
Pro�ect 5-1277B� that the estimat�d cost of the acquisition of sa.id ease-
ment is $500.OQ' and that the Comptroller ha.s aertified to the Council the
n�a.nner in which �he funds may be made available; that the Council hereby
approves the projeet for the acquisition of the said eas�;ment for the
afbresaid purpose and. direets that the same be acquired for such purpose
by the Committee on I,a.nds consistix�g of the Mayor� the Purcha.sing A�ent�
Commissioner of Public Works, and the Commissionex of Fina.nce� if the same
can be acguired by purchase at a reasonable price� and it shall so report
to the Council the cost thereof� provided� however� that in case the Co�ittee
on I,ands cannot procure said ea.sement at a reasonable�ice� then it shall so
report to the Council� and in tha.� event� the Council hexeby ordexs and
directs that condemnation proeeedings be instituted under the provi�ions of
the City Charter to secure�said easement.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall ta.ke eff�ct an�l. be in force thirty
(30) d.a.ys from and a�-ter its pa.ssage� approval ar�d publicatian.

for (City Project S-1277B)
Milton - St. Clair Storm Sewer �
Gentlemen and Madam:
For the purpose of constructing a sewer under the right-of-way
of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul � Pacific Railroad Company, the
Department of Public Warks require an easement described as follows:
A permanent easement for sewer purposes 30 feet in width on,
under, across and through that certain strip of land 120 feet wide
being 60 feet on either side of the centerline of the Chicago,
Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railro�d Company right-of-way as
located across Lot 4, Subdivision of A�d's Farm, 100 acs. , NlJ � of
Section 11 , T. 28, R. 23, the Westerly line of said 30 foot wide
easement being the easterly line of Block 7, Ridgewood Park Addition
to the City of Saint Paul , Ramsey County, Minnesota.

The cost of the above easement�shall be paid from Local
Improvement Funds. The easement shall be used in the construction
of the Milton - St. Clair Storm Sewer (Public Works Project S-12776) .
It is requested that the Council take the necessary action to
authorize acquiring an easement of above said land for the purpose
af constructing a sewer.
