THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3250, approved August 20, 1g14, as amended, be and tf�e same is hereby further amended by striking out the last paragraph of Section 33, which reads as follows: "Any employee who sustains a permanent disability due to an illness or injury arising out of and in the course of employment (a compensable case� may be reduced to any other position at his own request and at the request of the head of the department with the approval of the Civil Service Commissioner provided the employee meets such achievement, physical and medical standards, as the Civil Service Commissioner may prescribe in the particular case. " Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding at the end of Section 39 a new subsection, as follows: "I COMPENSABLE DISABILITY-.- Any employee who sustains a permanent disability due to an illness or injury arising out of and in the course of employment (a compensable case� may be transfeered or reduced to any other position at his own request and at the request of the head of the department with the approva.l of the Civil Service Commissioner provided the employee meets such achievement, physical and medical standards, as the Givil Service Commissioner may prescribe in the particular case. °t Section 3. The attached ordinance expands this to also allow such employees to be transferred or reduced. The ordinance also moves this provision in the Rules from under the heading "Reduction", and places it by itself in a new section, since it no longer refers only to reductions.
