An Ordinance Amending Chapter 487 of the St. Paul Legislative Code
Pertaining to Uniform and Clothing Allowance for Police Officers
The Council of the City of St. Paul does ordain:
Section 1
That Section 487.02 of the St. Paul Legislative Code is amended to read:
487.02 - Replacements, Qualified Items.
The items of uniform for which said allowance for replacement of certain
items of uniform is authorized are the following: overcoat, blouse coat,
jacket (winter) , jacket (intermediate) , parkas, trousers, shirts, Sam Brown
belt, Garrison belt, holster, Bucco helmet and accessory parts, vest, flash-
lite holder, cartridge holder, Federal Streamer holder, tie, raincoat, caps,
(summer-winter) , cap cover (rain), rubber leggings, whistle chain, shoes,
chukka boots or Ranch Wellington boots, rubber overshoes, rubbers (rain) ,
rain suits (motorcycle) , handcuff case and handcuffs, black or navy blue or
black socks with white foot and black gloves. �
Officers must pay the difference between selected items and the contract
price. Only items which have been approved by the Chief of Police may be
purchased.
Section 2
The ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after its pas-
sage, approval and publication.
