An ordi.nance amending Ordinance No. 7607, entitled:
"An ordi.nance fixing the duties and responsibilities
and the minimum qualifications for the various classes of
positions in the Classified 5ervice of the City, "
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF, THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
striking out the minimum qualifications in the specifications for Park
Aide I, which read as follows:
"Eighth-grade education. Must be at least 17 years of age. " ;
and by substituting in lieu thereof the following minimum qualifications:
"Eighth-grade education. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
days after its passage, approval, and publication.

This ordinance changes the minimum qualifications in the specifications
for Park Aide I. It reduces the minimum age from 17 years of age to 16 years
of age.
This is being done at the request of the Water Department and the
Parks Department who employ people in this title.
