Section 10.02 oP�he New City Charter Approved by
the Voters November 3, 1970� and Providing a
Budget Calendar.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Sec�ion 1.: _
Al1 departments, bureaus and agencies of the City goverru�.ent shall
transmit to the Mayor� on or before August 1 of each year� such
requests deemed necessary to be included in the budgets for the
following fiscal year. All requests sha.11 be submitted on forms
approved by the Mayor.
Section 2.
On or before October 1 of each year, the Mayor sha.11 submit to the
Council his recommended budgets. Upon receipt thereof, the Council
sha.11 fix a date or dates for public hearing on the submitted
budgets, and sha.11 publish once in the official newspaper of the
City the complete text of the Mayor' s recommended budgets together
- with notice of the proposed public hearing thereon.
Section 3.
Upon completion of the heari��ng, or any adjournments thereof, and not
later than October 25 of each year, the Council sha.11 b� resolution
or ordinance if applicable adopt the budgets for the next following
fiscal year. The Council shall publish the complete text of the
adopted budgets once in the official newspaper of the City.
Section 4.
After adoption of the budgets, the Counci;l sha�l adopt a tax-levy
resolution or resolutions showing the amount which must be 'provided
by an ad valorem tax on all taxable real and personal property in
the City, and shall certify a copy ��.ereof to the Ramsey County
Auditor not later than November 15 of each year.
Section 5.
This ordinance sha.11 be deemed a part of the Saint Paul Administra-
tive Code and sha.11 be incorporated therein and given an appropriate
chapter and/or section number at the time of the compilation of the
said Administrative Code.
Section 6.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days
after its passage� approval and publication. �qY 16 1972
