AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 241 OF THE SAINT PAUI.LEGISLATiVE
CODE, AS AMENDED, PERTAINING TO SANITARY DISPOSAL CONTRACTORS.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1 .
That Section 241.04(c) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is
hereby rescinded in its entirety, and the following substituted in

241.04(c) Whenever a license is issued hereunder, the provisions of
Section 1.44, Subsections A, C, D, E, K, L, M, N, 0 and P
of the City of Saint Paul , Minnesota, Department of Public
Y; Works Specifications for Street and Sewer Construction, as
� amended, shall apply. Certificate(s) of insurance submitt-
ed as proof of coverage shall be in a form acceptable to
the City A�torney ar�d. s�a1.1, �;:n�1WdE the "St. Paul Uniform
� Endorsemen.t" as required under Section '93.0� o� thc St. Paul
Legislative Code (Uniform Lic�nse Endorsement). 'Said certi-
, ficate(s) must be submitted tv='tfie department of Public
Works, approved by the City Attorney, and filed w:ith the
Department of Finance and Man�gemEnt -Services prior to
issuance of the license;
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days from and afte r its psssage, approval and publication.

Transmitted herewith fo� your app�oval fo� submission to the City
Council are tw�o proposed o�dinances amending Chapters 240 and 241
of the St. Paul Legislative Code, as amended, These chapters of
the St. Paul Legislative Code pertain to licensing requirements
for those who wish to e�gage in business as house drain contractors
and sanitary disposal contractors. These amending ordinances wtll
establish the provislons of the Sectlon 1 .44 of the Department of
Public Works' Specifications for Street and Sewer Construction as
the insurance �equirements necessary before a license may be issued.
These proposed ordinances represent a continuation of the Department
of Public Works' attempt to standardize the insurance provisions for
those cont�actors who engage in any business in the City of St. Paul
fo� which the Department of Public Works bears regulatory responsibi-
lity.
