FIRE HYDRANTS AT�1D PROVIDING REVISIOTdS IIJ THE DEPOSIT
AND CHARGES FOR PERMIT USERS.
THE COiTPdCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
That Section 251.03 and 251.0�+ of the Saint Paul Legislative Code axe hereby amended
by deleting the same and inserting the following in lieu a.nd in place thereof:
251.03 DEPOSIrrS:
Applicants to whom permits are granted shall be required to make a
cash deposit oP $100.00 in advance. The deposit is for the purpose of guaran-
teeing payment for water used and to cover any breakage or damage to the fire
hydrant.
Upon return of the permit, the $100.00, less charges against the
applicant's account, will be returned to the applicant.
251.0�+ CHARGES:
For each separate piece of construction work a demand or rental charge
of $25.00 will be made for each hydrant used for each thirty (30) days or fraction
thereof. Such demand charge is to cover cost of inspection and ordinaxy wear-and-
tear on the hydrant.
In addition to the demand charge, or any chaxge for breakage, a charge
will also be made for all water used according to the regular consumption rate.
P�Ieasurement of water used shall be by use of hydrant meter issued to each nermittee.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall take effect a.nd be in force from-and-after June 1, 1973.
