An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6446, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance fixing the compensation rates
of certain city positions and employments, "
approved January 23, 1925, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 5AINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN;
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6446, approved January 23, 1925,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out of
Section II under "Special Employments", the following:
"Student Library Aide:
First year of employment $1. 75 an hour
Second year of employment 2. 00 an hour
Third year of employment 2. 25 an hour
Fourth year of employment and thereafter 2. 50 an hour '%
and by substituting in lieu thereof the following: ,
"Effective May 1, 1974 -
Student Library Aide:
First year of employment $l. 90 an hour
Second year of employment 2. 00 an hour
Third year of employment 2. 25 an hour
Fourth year of employment and thereafter 2. 50 an hour "

Fourth year of employment and thereafter 2. 75 an hour"
Section 2. The amendments established by this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force retroactively to May 1, 1974, in compliance
with the 1974 amendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act as they apply
to minimum wage s.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after its passage, approval, and publication.
