Whereas the Saint Paul Police Department's Professional Development Institute is sponsoring
eight two day courses emitled "Street Safe/Officer Survival for the 90's".That this course will be
held at the Saint Paul Police Outdoor Range facility. That these courses will be held on the
following dates:May 6-7;9-10;13-14;16-17;20-21;23-24;28-29 and 30-31, 1996 and,

Whereas the curriculum and inftequency of break periods combined with the remoteness of the
training site, prohibit the students from leaving the range in order to obtain sustenance.
Be it ordered that pursuant to the 1996 City Budget, the proper City officials are hereby
authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $2500.00 to Kowalski's Deli, located in 5aint Paul.
That this expense is to provide lunches to the course participants. Further, that a registration fee
will be assessed to students from outside agencies attending this course in an attempt to recoup
the cost.
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Department of Finance and
Management Services.
