An ordinance amending Chapter 291 of the Saint Paul
Legislative Code pertaining to food .
THE� COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN :
Section 1 .
Section 291 . 25 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is
hereby amended to read as follows :

Subdivision 3--Animals Prohibited .

in any area where food is manufactured , processed,
prepared , stored or served ; provided , however , truard
dogs on leash accompanying police officers and special
police officers while in performance of their duties ,
and guide dogs accompanying blind or deaf persons `Nhen
such dogs are properly harnessed or leashed so that
the blir.d or deaf person may maintain control of the
dog , may be permitted in food establishments .
Section 2 .
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirtv
(30 ) days from and after its passage , approval and publication .

That the Minnesota �State S�atute was amended in the 1977 Le�islative
Session to allow both �uide do.qs for the deaf and the blind . To be
in conforfiity with the State Statute we rec�uire that the Citv Foo�3 °
Ordinance No . 291 .02 . be amended .
