83.07 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code
pertaining to the public parking lot at
Shepard, Jackson, the Union Depot tracks
nnd Sibley Streets. and authorizing the
use thereof as a leasing Iot.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUI, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Chapter 83,07 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended
by making the following deletions and additions:
Section A
The City owned parking lot bounded by Shepard, Jackson, the IInion
Depot tracks and Sibley Street may be used far off-street motor vehicle
parking and cha rges ahall be made for the use of said parking lot. The
use of satid parking lot �X any pa�rt t�erso� fc�Y..aff-etreet parking
shall be under the control of the 2e�n#�#er�e�+-ef-i����e-We�3�e Director
o_f the Department o� Pla�nnfng and Economic �evelopment.
Section B
The eatr��s�#er�e�-e�-�t���e We�3�s Directar of the Department of
Planning and Economic Development is hereby authorized to ��s�a��-e�
ea�tee-�e--be-#�s�e��ed-ge����g-m ete�s-w##���l�e-ea�e�-pa��g-�e�s
a�e�-��e-Ee�t�e��s-b�*--�eee��t�#e�T-��a�� set� and from time to time reset,
, the hours that the lot a�e�-�e�e�e shall be in operation and the �e��*
monthly charge to be made for the privilege of using said parking
facilities. ��-e�ia��-�e-�l�e-d�t�-e�-��e--eet�4ee#e�e�-e�-��xb�#e-i�e�3�e

Section C
No person shall stop, stand or park, or cause to stop, stand or

ti�e-hears-t�iat-rne�ers-9�a��-�e-��-ege�a��e�T-*a���e��-�.e�es��}�Q-��e-�e-
qt�tred-ee�n-er-ee��9-��-ti�e-x�e�e� said parking lot without having pronerly
secured the required parking permit from the Director of the Department
of Planning and Economic Development or its duly authorized representa-
tive. Every parking permit issued shall be evidenced by a numbered,
non-transferable identification decal which shall be displayed in the
rear window of every vehicle while using said lot.
Section D
Section D is hereby repealed and a new Section D is hereby added.
No person shall stop, stand or park, or cau�e to stop, stand or
park any motor vehicle in the driveway of the parking lot. Nor shall any
person stop, stand or park or cause to stop, stand or park any motor
vehicle in any place not designated as a parking space.
Section E
Section E is hereby repealed.
Section F
The 8e�t�ss�e�e�-e€-�t����e-Wer3�s Director of the Department of
Public Works shall cause appropriate signs to be erected or removed
so as to clearly designate the parking lot established by the ordinance,
the monthly fees, tl�e-�a����.g-egeee� and t�e any other restrictions set
forth herein. ��e�e-9�.Q��-�e-�e-�t��3��r�e�-e€-�eter-�e��e�es-��-ti�e-d���e�a.�9

Section G
Any motor vehicle stopped, parked, abandoned or otherwise left un-
attended in violation of any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed
an offense hereunder and punishable as a misdemeanor.
5ection H
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication.
