THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section I That Chapter 25 . 06 of the Legislative Code entitled "Establishment of Permit Fees" be and the same is hereby �mended to read as follows : 25. 06 Establishment of Permit Fees. (a) Fees Required. Before issuing any permit for the erection, addition, alteration, repair, moving, wrecking or occupancy, the fee as indicated in the following schedule shall be paid. Where work for which a permit is required by this ordinance is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining said permit , the fees specified shall be doubled, provided that in no event will such double fee exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300 . 00) . The payment of such double fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with the requirements of the Building Codes in the execution of the work or from any other penaltie"s prescribed herein. �- Building valuation for the purpose of establishing building permit fees shall be as set forth by the valuation data published by the Building Code Division, Department of Administration , State of • Minnesota, as may be amended from time to time. Plan checking fees for all other buildings shall be 65 percent of the building permit fee as set forth in Table A above. Where plans are incomplete or changed so as to require additional plan checking, an additional plan check fee shall be charged at the rate of one-fourth of the original plan checking fee. (c) Expiration of Plan Check. Applications for which no per- mit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation and plans submitted for checking may thereafter be returned to the applicant or destroyed by the Building Official. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written re- quest by the applicant showing that circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. In order to renew action on an application after expiration, the applicant shall resubmit plans and pay a new plan checking fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) . (d) Expiration of Building Permit. Every permit issued by the Building Official under provisions of this Chapter shall expire and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such per- mit is not commenced within 120 days from the date of such permit or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 120 days at any time after work is com- menced. (e) Suspension or Revocation of Building Permit. The Building Official may, in writing, suspend or revoke a permit issued under provisions of this Chapter whenever the permit is issued in error or on the basis of incorrect information supplied, or in viOlation of any ordinance or regulation or of any of the provisions of this Chapter.
