Milk To provide for a national uniformity of the inspection of Grade A Milk Plants, the U.S. Public Health Service has provided a model ordinance. Periodically the model ordinance is changed to allow for advancements in technology and policy. The previous modification of the Milk Ordinance occurred in 1967 to institute the provisions of the 1965 Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance. The Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance---1978 recommendations were just published for adoption. We find that the adoption of the above recom- mendations allows us to inspect our dairy plants in conformity with national standards. The four milk plants under our supervision qualify to sell their milk products anywhere in the United States. We recommend that the proposed amendment be submitted to City Council for passage. ,. t .. '"' ,,.' °, PJC/kmj ,r- ' ' ;.' Enclosures , APPROVED: Thom s J.
