THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. ACTION REQUESTED : Approval of ordinance for submission to City Council. PURPOSE AND RATIQNALE FOR THIS ACTION : Legislation adopted in the 1981 session of the legislature provides for payment of prevailing Minnesota minimum wages to election judges. Our present rate of $43.50 a day was based on the minimug� rate of $2.90 for 15 hours. Ordinance also provides for codification of this provision in the Adr_iinistrative Code. FIt�ANCIAI IMPACT: The 19�2 Budget proposal includes an appropriation to cover this increase. The Budget appropriation for 19g2 is $29,051 �iore than 193� expenditures and covers four elections.
