THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. ACTIOPI REQUESTEQ : Approval of ordinance for submission to City Council. PURFOSE AND RATI9NALE FpR THIS ACTION : Legislation adopted in the 1981 session of the legislat�re provides for payment of prevailing Minnesota minimum wages to election �udges. Our present rate of $43.50 a day was based on the minimup rate of $2.90 for 15 hours. Ordinance also provides for codification of this provision in the Adcninistrative Code. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The 1982 Budget proposal includes an appropriation to cover this increase. The Budget appropriation for 1982 is $29,p51 more than 1930 expenditures and covers four elections.
