An Ordinance amending Chapter 86 of the
Administrative Code allowing certain leases
to be executed without prior authorization
of the Council.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
Section 86 .03 of the St. Paul Administrative Code is a�nended
to read as follows:
86.03. Real estate, conveyance. All deeds, leases
and other instruments pertaining to the conveyance
of real estate or any interest therein on behalf
of the city of 5aint Paul or the board of water
commissioners shall first be authorized by the
council or the board, respectively, and executed
by the mayor, city clerk and head of the depart-
ment of finance and management services. In
matters dealing only with the city of 8aint- Pau1,
leases of one ear or less in duration nee not
be first aut orized y t e counci .
Section 2.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its
passage, approval and publication.

I was advissd by Mr. Starr that the Counci.l of the City of Saint
Paul wanted to amend the Administrative Code so as .to allow the
City to enter into leases of one year or less without prior
authorization from the Council.
I have prepared an ordinance which would accomplish this request.
