As you may recall , this ordinance was introduced earlier and was voted down. The new ordinance, however, addresses some of the concerns that were raised by persons who previously did not support it. One specific new feature in the new ordinance is that, in neighborhoods , only wine and beer licensed establishments can receive the all-night food license and the neighborhood consent provision requires an affirmative 75% of all private residents within 300 feet of the premises. Establishments in the downtown district licensed to sell wine, beer and liquor can receive the special food license and no consent provision is required. I will be contacting you on Friday, January 9, to discuss your potential support for the ordinance.
