The Zoninc� Committee conducted a public hearing on November 5, 1981 , on this case. No testimony was heard. The Zoning Committee voted 7 to 0 to recomme�nd approval of the rezoning. The Planning Commission considered the Zoning Committee's recommendation on November 6, 1981 , and voted 19 to 0 to approve the rezoning. The requested rezoning is scheduled to be heard by the City Council on December 3, 1981 . The Economic Development Strategy of the Comprehensive Plan states that '! .the City shall consider the feasi6ility of rezoning residential land that wo ld be more suitable for commercial or industrial purposes."
