An Ordinance amending section 64.05 of the
Saint Paul Administrative Code pertaining
to the assessment procedures.
T E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1 .
That section 64. 05 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code be
a d is hereby amended to read as follows :
Sec. 64.05. Collection; balance may be paid to
Finance Department.
Following certification of the assessment roll , all
installments of assessments with interest shall be
collected with the �ea�-es���e taxes by the county
department of property taxation and paid over to the
city in the same manner as are other municipal taxes ,
and shall be subject to the same penalties , costs and
interest charges prescribed by state law as are other
municipal taxes. Provided, however, that prepayment
of the entire remaining unpaid balance may be made to
the city' s finance department in the following manner:
(1 ) If payment is made prior to November 15th, the
finance department shall collect the total re-
maining unpaid balance together with interest
computed to the date of prepayment; and
(2) If payment is made between November 15th and
December 31st, the finance department shall
collect the unpaid balance less the installment

Re Personal Property Taxes
It has come ta, my attention that the County of Ramsey is
co verting some of their Real Estate parcels to personal property
ba ed on their appaiser's recommendation. I understand the barge
m oring sites hane already been converted and Ramsey County is in
t e process of converting all the forty or so airport leases to
p rsonal property. The �dministrative Code limits our collection
o assets and annual service charges to certification to real
e tate taxes and does not address the personal property issue.
P ease initiate the necessary revisions to the Administrative
C de to allow Valuation and Assessments the ability to collect
o r assessments and service charqes as a part of the personal
p operty tax through the certification process. •
