Section 1.
That Ch pter 30 of the Saint Paul Legisla ive Code entitled
"Temporary E ection Signs" is amended by add'ng a new section
thereto to r ad as follows:
"S c. 30.5. A licable Onl in Munic al Election
Years. Nothin in this cha ter shall be construed as
a lica le durin those ears in which stat wide eneral
electio s are held. This cha ter shall be licable in
those ars in which elections for munici 1 office are
held.
Section 2.
This or inance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days from an after its passage, approval and p blication.

The Legislature o the State of Minnesota approved a statute regarding the
size and dates of display of campaign lawn signs and making the application
of Chapter 30 nea ly impossible to enforce. This ame dment places the
ordinance in effe t during those years when municipa elections are held.
