At the concTusion of the building construction project the contractor submitted requests
, for additional compensation in the amount of $201,441.00, which were subsequently denied
by the City. This dispute was eventually mediated by a third party as provided under
Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of Civil Procedure (effective January 1995). Additional
funds needed to pay contractor settlement ($33,000) and to pay City's costs ($9,500).
VANTAGES IFAPPFiOVED.
Funds will available to pay settlement costs, and city's costs related to the
mediation process.
