The current fine revenue allocation formula gives St. Paul the lowest percentage of fine revenue of any major city in the State. While St. Paul receives 50� of the revenue, most cities receiv 60� and Minneapolis receives 70�. ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED: The City will have additional tools and funds to help combat rising speeds on City streets. DISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED: None. DISADVANTAOES IF NOT APPROVED: Speeding violations on city streets may continue to be left unprosecuted while the City continues to receive an unfairly low portion of fine generated revenue.
