RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA eC l Committee: Date AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR THE LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("Ciry") is a participant in the Livable Communities AcYs Housing Incentives program for 1998 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to apply for funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and 9 WHEREAS, the City has identified two projects within the City, one in the Northeast Quadrant and one in the 10 Lower Payne Avenue area that meet the Demonstration AccounYs purpose and criteria: and 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 WHEREAS, the City has the institurional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements, and WHEREAS, the City Council of Saint Paul agrees to act as a legal sponsor for up to two projects contained in the Demonstration Account application(s) to be submitted on July 22, 1998; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Pluuiiug and Economic Development is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for Livable Communities Demonsh Account £unding on behaif of the City and to execute such agreements as aze necessary to implement the projects on behalf o£ the applicant.
