91-2021 QRIGI�IAI Council File # - / Green Sheet # RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By ����� � , Referred To Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, Longfellow Humanities Magnet School is celebrating the swearing in 2 elected Student Council Officials on October 24, 1991; and 3 4 WHEREAS, electing representative leaders in schools is a valuable teaching and 5 learning process to build a sense of community, responsibility and understanding 6 democracy; and 7 8 WHEREAS, the elected officials are Ted Hanson, President; Danny Galvin, Vice 9 President; Clarissa Vandersteen, Secretary; and Katie Decelle, Treasurer; and 10 11 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council wishes to encourage participation in all levels 12 of government and learning experiences which foster democracy; therefore, be it 13 14 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council congratulates the students of Longfellow 15 Humanities Magnet School on selecting student leaders; and further be it 16 17 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council congratulates the new student leaders, 18 invites them to visit City Hall, and wishes them a fun and educationally productive year 19 at Longfellow.
