WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has adopted a food policy which declares
our commitment to access for all citizens of safe, nutritious and affordable
food; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Food Policy likewise urges the protection of
resources upon which our food supply is based; and
WHEREAS, certain persons, corporations and organizations have made
extraordinary contributions toward achievement of the goals of the Saint Paul
Food Policy; and
WHEREAS, it is the wish of this City Council to encourage and recognize
such participation in this fundamentally important endeavor; and
, r,' WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has established a Saint Paul Food and
� Nutrition HALL OF FAME; now, therefore, be it
, RESOLVED, that the following names be posted as honorees for the Food and
Nutrition HALL OF FAME, and that their contributions be noted as follows:
GEORGE LATIMER
(for his work and extra effort in setting up the Food and Nutrition
Commission and his continued on-going support)
MAYOR JAMES SCHEIBEL
