The City Council approved the widening of_ North Da1e Street which necessitated the taking
of properties to accommodate the widening. District 7 Community Council has requested to
buy one of these properties for $1 and plans to move it as a part of Sherburne Initiative
URAP.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
The house wi11 become available for a low income family at a different site. The City
will save at cost of $5,000 by not having to wreck it. RECEIVED

Housing and Redevelopment Authority, its successors , and assigns
- shall enter the premises and do any and all tl�ings necessary to
protect the premises from damage by persons who are
unauthorized to carry on moving operations. The
structure (s) shall be moved in a proper and approved manner .
- shall remove all foundation walls , footings , and floor .
- shall remove steps and/or stoops adjacent to the structure
or other projecting obstacles in the yard and shall remove
all trash and debris . Concr.ete sidewalks immediately
surrounding building shall be removed .
- shall see that sufficient safety precautions are taken by the
Contractor. and by the workmen at all_ times during the
wrecking operations to safeguard life , limb, and
' proper.ty.
- shall take care of all public utilities encountered
during the progress of the work. Proper notices shall be
sent , and necessary arrangements made to have all meters ,
wires , equipment , etc. removed and returned to the
utility companies .

The power company will remove all poles and wires back-
to-the-road service pole. I�Iunicipal sewer and water
' connections ( if any) must be terminated or removed

�' }=� according to local ordinances or regulations. This
� cost will be borne by the Housing and Redevelopment

Authority, its successors , and assigns.
~ - shall see that all wells be capped according to State of
1�2innesota Department of Health requires the house mover to
contract with a licensed water well contractor for the
permanent plugging of water wells in accor.dance with P�ZD.
210-230 .
The ��innesota Department of Health would like to be
notified 24 hours in advance of the plugging operations .
The plugg ing of the well shou]_d be done prior to
moving or demolition of the structure (s) . A signed
statement of compliance with Ni.H.D. 210-230 by the
well driller who plugged the well shall be furnished
to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority, its
successors, and assigns.

- shall see that extreme care be used in operating all moving
equipment around or near trees adjacent to the dwelling .
Trees are not to be damaged or destroyed .
- shall dispose of abandoned personal items and trash left by the
previous owner .
- shall see that the site is returned to its natural state and is
graded to blend into the surrounding grades and slopes .
- shall make sure the contractor fills all holes• and
depressions to the level of the abutting ground line with
clean dirt . Where the ground slopes , the Contractor shall
match the slope with the top of the fill. At least five
(5) feet of clean-fill dirt must cover the rubble in the
basement.
- shall see that every precaution is taken to protect the public
from personal harm. Suitable barriers will be erected
��-; ,,._ _.-..� to prevent people from falling into holes or
� depressions until the filling is complete .

The basement filling will be completed within 15
wor. king days after the structure is moved and debris
removed from the site . The open basement excavation
must be immediately protected by the installation of a
- snow fence barrier surrounding the area, securely
supported with sufficient iron posts and fastened with
= wire fence ties . The City will not allow open basement
�E , excavations to remain unpr.otected or re��ain unfilled
�:k�; , � beyond 15 working days .

{="' _ _�; Upon the completion of the work required under this
, � ' `�" � specification, the Contractor shall remove all tools ,
' equipment , scaffolding , debris , and other materials
from the premises. The entire premises shall be left
in a clean condition to the satisfaction of the City.
