Zangs Zoning Technician Re: Beaver Lounge Parking Lot - 756 Jackson Our office has determined that we cannot require the owner of the property to pave the referenced parking lot with asphalt. We have researched our records of the parking lot in question. A site plan was approved in 1979 for a parking lot adjacent to the bar. The letter officially approving the lot is not specific on the issue of paving. The approved plan does not indicate the surface material to be used on the lot. The parking lot has existed in its present condition for 11 years; it would be difficult to enforce at this time any requirement to pave the lot. In response to your other question, we do not require a permit to apply a dust control additive to the surface of the lot. We are also uncertain whether this is a good alternative solution to the problem. If the owners of the parking lot would decide to pave the lot with asphalt, our office would require the project be resubmitted for site plan review and be brought up to current standards. . /.3 ,. n.,,,....,..,.*+i! , , . _ , . , ., tww+:MU.u4lfrwr;8•,wb,+ue:r .-M,•.,i.,..,,. . .
