Sheet #15107) . When the Admininstrative Law Judge renderedl his de �'^�� �+�;
City's Motion for Interim Hiring last month, our office be an orga � ,�'���
process, including estimating the budget for expenses incu�red by t , `x "�=�
ruling. This process necessitated several meetings with tY�e State £ 4, �
Department representatives and Fire Admininstration to worl� out spec ��;�'�� ' '
of the court ordered 12-week training program. � �` ''`��„ ;;

Once our Office knew what costs would be incurred by the o�der and put�','
comprehensive budget, we submitted a Green Sheet and Resol tion. There
several factors which impact the timeliness of passing of his resolut�.o

* In order not to incur further costs by having prac ice sessions ��'
testing indoors (i.e. Civic Center) , we need to be in the 12-wee �
training as soon as possible to avoid inclement we ther;

* The State Human Rights Department has requested th�.t we complete �
training and testing before December 1 which is whlen the trial begi �:;
to settle the damages portion of the lawsuit; " �

* Previous to that training, however, we need to havle an Exercise ' ` '
Physiologist assess each individual and recommend �a training program. ' � . ���"?" 'f�

training because this will involve coordinating sghedules of over
