RESOLVED, that upon execution and delivery of a release in fjull to the City of Saint
Paul, the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed tq pay out of the Tort
Liability Fund 09070-0511 to Kevin Buron and Judy Buron the su of $13,000.00 in full
�
settlement of their claim for damages sustained January 8, 1987, as a r sult of an automobile
accident at or near Highway 280 and County Road B.

Approval of resolution settling claims of Kevin and Judy Buron
against the City of St. Paul for injuries sustaine January 8, 1987
as a result of a motor vehicle accident at the int rsection of Hwy. :
280 and County Road B. Mr. Buron was a parts runner for the ::_ .
Department of Public Works and was driving a C'ty of St. Paul '
pickup truck at the time of the accident. While e was stopped at
a stop light another pickup truck, driven by Jef rey Freisen who
was readin a ma at the time of the accident a d travellin 30
ADVANTAGES�qgoveohit the vehicle driven by Mr. Buron from the rear. Mr.
Freisen was not insured. Mr. Buron injured his ack and received
a 3.5� disability rating from the City's doctor.
The City was successful in an action which it br ught against the
driver of the other vehicle. However, Mr. Fre'sen has left the
State of Minnesota and his whereabouts is p esently unknown.
Pursuant to statute, the City is required to rovide uninsured
o�snovnr,rnoWeA are �required to step into the shoes of Mr. F eisen and defend
his actions.
