WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works
acquired the use of certain tax-forfeited land from the State of
P�tinnesota as described in document No. 1342384 which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority of the City of Saint Paul has
requested the City' s Department of Public Works to reconvey this
land to the State of Minnesota for the purposes of using said
land as a parking area for the Pollution Control Agency at 520
Lafayette Road; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority has offered an alternate site to
the Department of Public Works for its sand and salting
operations , said site having been approved by the Director of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority shall convey the alternate
site by Warranty Deed at no charge to the City.
WHEREAS, the Port Authority shall grant the City a permanent
street easement on, over , and across the northerly portion of the
land described in document no. 1342384 .
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the land to be conveyed to
the City as an alternate site for Public Works salt and sanding
operation is described as follows:
That part of Lots 1 and 8 , Block 51 and Lots 3 , 4 ,
5 and 6 , Block 52 , Kittson' s Addition to Saint Paul ,
according to the recorded plat thereof on file in
the office of the County Recorder , Ramsey County,
Minnesota , part of the vacated alley in said Block
51 and part of vacated Kittson Street lying between
said Blocks 51 and 52 described as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of said
Lot 1; thence northeasterly, along the
northwesterly lines of said Blocks 51 and 52
and said lines extended , 216 .82 feet to the �
most northerly corner of said Lot 3; thence
southeasterly, along the northeast line of
said Lot 3 , a distance of 76 . 50 feet; thence
southerly, deflecting to the right 43 degrees
38 minutes 14 seconds , a distance of 100 .64

Subdivision of Lots 8 and 9 and part of Lots 7 , 10 , 12 , and
13 Bass ' Addition of Outlots , Ramsey County , Minnesota ,
lying northerly of a line run parallel with and distant 40
feet southerly from a line described as follows :
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot G, Soo
Line Plat Number 8 ; thence North 55 degrees 20 minutes
18 seconds East , assumed bearing , along the
northeasterly extension of the southeasterly line of
said Lot G, a distance of 28 .09 feet to the beginning
of the line to be described; thence N�rth 35 degrees 06
minutes 24 seconds West 124 .69 feet; thence
northwesterly 110 . 11 feet along a tangential curve

BE I'P ALSO RESOLVED, that the Port Authority shall pay all
relocation costs of present facilities to the alternate site and
shall pay all costs to make the function of the alternate site
operational, including but but limited to cost for relocating
buildings , salt , sand , equipment , electric power , and utilities
in use. That the Port Authority shall pay all costs for burying
the electric service cable for the existing outdoor adveztising
sign on the subject property in accordance with all codes and

ordinances applicable thereto. That National Advertising Company
shall remove said outdoor advertising sign from the subject
property within 30 days of the expiration of the existing lease
for said sign, said lease to expire on August 27 , 1996 . The
Port Authority shall also submit and obtain approval of a site
plan and storm water management plan for the alternate site;
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul and the
Saint Paul Port Authority shall enter into an agreement entitled an
"Agreement to Exchange Land for the Department of Public Works'
Sand and Salt Operation Between the City of Saint Paul and the
Saint Paul Port Authority" and that the terms and conditions of
that agreement shall be attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Saint Paul, hereby approves the reconveyance of the property
described in document no. 1342384 to the the State o£ Minnesota
and also approves the acceptance of a Warranty Deed from
the Port Authority for the alternate site for Public Works sand
and salting operations as described above .

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul , Department ,of Public Works
acquired the use of certain tax-forfeited land �om the State of
Minnesota as described in document No. 1342384 hich is attached
hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority of the Cit � of Saint Paul has
requested the City' s Department of Public rks to reconvey its
interest in this land to the State of Minn sota for the purposes
of using said land as a parking area for the Pollution Control
Agency at 520 Lafayette Road; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority has off red an alternate site to
the Department of Public Works fo its sand and salting
operations , said site having been ap oved by the Director of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Port Authority sha convey, by Warranty Deed ,
the alternate site at no charge to the City .
THEREFORE �E IT RESOLVED, th the land to be conveyed to
the City as an alternate site for Public Works salt and sanding
operation is described as follows
That part of Lots 1 an 8 , Block 51 and Lots 3 , 4 ,
5 and 6 , Block 52 , Kit son' s Addition to Saint Paul ,
according to the reco ded plat thereof on file in
the office of the Cou ty Recorder , Ramsey County,
P4innesota , part of t e vacated alley in said Block
51 and part of vacat d Kittson Street lying between
said Blocks 51 and 2 described as follows :
Beginning at t e most westerly corner of said
Lot 1; thence ortheasterly, along the
northwesterly lines of said Blocks 51 and 52
and said lin extended , 216 .82 feet to the
most norther y corner of said Lot 3; thence
southeaster , along the northeast line of
said Lot 3 , a distance of 76 . 50 feet; thence
southerly, eflecting to the right 43 degrees
38 minutes 14 seconds , a distance of 100 . 64
feet; the e southwesterly 147 . 50 feet , more
or less t a point on the southwest line of
said Lot 8 , which point is 150 .00 feet
southeast of the point of beginning , measured
along the southwest lines of said Lots 1 and
8 and said lines extended; thence
. northwesterly 150 .00 feet to the point of
beginning and there terminating .

BE IT ALSO RESOLVED, that the Port Authority shall pay all
relocation costs of present facilities to the alternate site and
shall pay all costs to make the function of the alternate site
operational, including but not limited to Gost for relocating
buildings , salt, sand , equipment , electric. power , and utilities
in use. That the Port Authority shall pay all costs for burying
the electric service cable for the existzng outdoor advertising
sign on the subject property in accorda ce with all codes and
ordinances applicable thereto . That N tional Advertising Company
shall remove said outdoor advertising � ign from the subject
property within 30 days of the expira,+�ion of the existing lease
for said sign, said lease to expire fn August 27 , 1996 . The Port
Authority shall also submit and obt in approval of a site plan
and storm water management plan for the alternate site;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, th the Council of the City of
Saint Paul, hereby approves the conveyance of the property
described in document no . 134238 to the the State of Minnesota
and also approves the acceptanc of a Warranty Deed from the Port
Authority for the alternate si for Public Works sand and
salting operations as describe above.
