Re: Maximu hot water temperature
Dear Council .erson Diamond:
This office .eceived a request on June 4, 1991, for an ordinance
draft that would limit the temperature on hot water heaters in
residential ental property to a maximum of one hundred and thirty
degrees fah =nheit.
The Minn. •e•t. of Health presently has the same limit for hot
water tempel . ture in lodging establishments. That regulation is
located at MCAR sec. 1. 152 , subd. J.
Enclosed is draft of an ordinance amendment which incorporates
what you ha = requested. I have discussed this proposal with John
Betz, Healt Dept. and Dick Amey, Building Inspection and believe
the propos - • amendment would best achieve what you seek to
accomplish.
If there ar- any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Edwin Lee
